Happy New Year friends!!!! Our year is starting off on a sad note…last night there was a major fire at an apartment complex where many of the families from our school live. Over 100 families in the complex are displaced. This is NOT the way we wanted to end our break!

To pep us up a little, and not be the bad news brigade, we are linking up with Farley at Oh Boy! Fourth Grade for a little January Currently fun! Thanks for hosting Farley!

I know that I am not the only one who LOVES winter break! As I sit here listening to my kiddos play, there is such a peacefulness in my life right now. I just want to live in this moment forever! While my to-do list drags on and all the things I want to do are looming, I think I will take this time to go enjoy my kiddos before this wonderful break ends!

We want to wish you all a happy and healthy New Year filled with peacefulness and joy!

I am so sorry to hear about your school's sad news. A few years back I had a student whose house burned during the night and he came to school in his pajamas since that is all he had. By the end of the day I had other parents organized and by the next day we had clothes and some toys ready for the family. I am sure you community will pitch in as well!
