Five for Friday!

Happy Friday friends!! It is FINALLY the last day of school!! This year has been good but I am more then ready for a little rest and relaxation! What better way to celebrate the last day of school then to link up with Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!!

I’m sorry for this picture but I HAD to post it! We are finishing up our ocean research projects…still…and this one was too funny to pass up! To clarify, this kiddo did say that turtles eat SEAweed when she was presenting…apparently that was left off the slide! I’m telling you…you never know about those turtles. They are a rowdy bunch!

My kiddos had the choice of how they wanted to present their info. This kiddo chose to make a poster.

To end our ocean unit we always watch Finding Nemo. I am not a “movie in the classroom” fan, but this movie covers so much and we really get into it. We tend to talk throughout the movie about the zones, different animals, currents and when they see their own animal they get REALLY excited! While they are watching the movie they also have a packet of work to do. In the packet they compare what happens in the movie to what they have learned in our unit. They really get into it!

This super cute scuba kid comes from Classroom Creations by Melissa’s Fun in the Sun Packet. Isn’t it cute?!?!? Of course I copied it all on white and they had to color ALL OF IT!!! This gave me some time to clean and them some time to chill out and focus on the project.

My closet was a HOT MESS!! When we moved at the end of last year I threw my back out. So it was really more of a “shove it all in the closet and deal with it later” type of move. Finally, I cleaned it up and got it organized! One down, two to go.

This girl got a trophy for t-ball and you would have thought she won the lottery!! She has been carrying it around and it is the MOST important thing in her life right now!! Up next…recital…

These are the kiddos’ end of the year gifts. The sunglasses are their favorite part! I ordered the books from Scholastic, you sure can’t beat $1.00!! The super-cute Reading at Home page comes from All Students Can Shine and the awesome Getting Ready for Third Grade booklet comes from Amy Lemons. This year our team sent home bookmarks with the kiddos’ reading levels so that they can take them to the library and get books at their level. Let’s hope they use it!!

I hope that you all are enjoying your last few days or your first few days of summer!!!

Have a great week!

Your kiddo is just adorable with her trophy and in her dance outfit! And the end-of-the-year gifts are just as cute. Gotta beat the summer slump! 🙂
