Kristin~
After teaching kindergarten for one year, and first grade for 16 years, I became a reading intervention teacher for K-5. I have been living and loving this position for the past three years and look forward to many more years of helping kiddos become awesome readers. When I’m not at school, I love hanging out with my family which includes three fantastic grandchildren, two who live here in the Pacific Northwest and one who lives way down in Texas…boohoo. I also have lots of fun playing with our dogs….a sweet golden retriever and two huge, hairy Newfoundland beasties who just turned one. They keep my husband and I on our toes, that’s for sure! In my spare time, you can find me out on my kayak, in the garden or traveling every chance I get! Smiles……Kristin

I am starting my 7th year of teaching which I have done all in second grade. I am also really lucky to be able to teach at the same school as my mom. Boy, it sure is nice to have your mom bring you coffee on those days in the winter that are rainy and gloomy! We live in the Pacific Northwest, so we get quite a few rainy and gloomy winter days!
I have an awesome husband and two great kids who take up all my spare time. My daughter is 4, and boy does she let you know it, and my son turns one in August. He is on the verge of walking and is a ball of energy. My most favorite thing to do is hang out with my family…and shop. Let’s just say I know the workers at our local Target and our UPS driver by name:)
